Murabaha is based on the principle buying and selling goods at a profit, and enables you to finance the purchase of your home.
- You source the property and negotiate the price;
- Then the lender will make a contract to buy from the vendor and sell it you at a higher price (profit);
- You pay the higher price by equal installments over an agreed term;
- Following completion of the purchase the property is registered in your name and the Bank holds security over it in the form of a legal charge (mortgage);
- The monthly payments are fixed and will not change throughout the remainder of the term.
