IJARA based Halal mortgage
Allows you to finance the purchase of your home. If you already have a conventional mortgage, repay it and re-mortgage (refinance) using Halal Mortgage. It is based on the principle of leasing
- You source the property and negotiate the price;
- Then the lender will make a contract to buy from the vendor and sell it you at the same price spread;
- As per the agreed term, you pay the lender rent for living in the property (which is owned by the property;
- The rent will be reviewed and calculated in accordance with the payments already made.
To replace an existing, conventional mortgage the procedure is the same except that:
- The lender will purchase the property from you at its current value.
- You agree to buy the property from the lender at this price.
- Your first payment to us is the difference between the current value and the amount of your current mortgage.
